Penn State continues to shape its 2026 recruiting class, and the Nittany Lions picked up another piece to the puzzle on Monday.
This time, the commitment comes from a talented defender out of Virginia. The player is Mathieu Lamah, a 3-star linebacker who also generated offers from Virginia Tech, Kentucky, Indiana and Maryland, among others.
Lamah is listed at 6-foot-3 and 235 pounds out of Patriot High School in Nokesville, VA. He is scheduled for official visits to Penn State and Virginia Tech in June, but was ready to make the call to jumpstart May.
According to the 247 Sports Composite, Lamah is a 3-star recruit. He also ranks as the 42nd linebacker in the country for the 2026 recruiting class.
The addition of Lamah brings Penn State up to 15 hard commitments for the cycle, a group that ranks 4th nationally per the 247 Sports Team Composite. Only USC with the No. 1 recruiting class in the country and Ohio State (No. 3) rank ahead of the Nittany Lions out of the Big Ten.
Penn State is riding its first College Football Playoff appearance in program history under James Franklin and looking for a big performance in 2025, and those results are paying off on the recruiting trail thus far.
