Penn State has landed a commitment from Philadelphia (Pa.) Roman Catholic wideout Tyseer Denmark.

A longtime Oregon pledge, Denmark left the Ducks’ class on June 17 and was immediately linked to the Nittany Lions. Penn State remained in the picture even after his Oregon commitment last November as assistant coach Terry Smith made Denmark a priority in the cycle. On Wednesday, he gave Penn State his verbal pledge.

The 5-foot-11, 180-pound Denmark is a 4-star receiver in the industry-generated 247 Composite. He ranks 227th nationally and is the 33rd-ranked wideout in his class. He’s also the No. 3 prospect in the state of Pennsylvania, which means coach James Franklin and his squad have officially locked down the top three recruits in the state for the 2024 cycle.

Penn State is also trending for 4-star edge Mylachi Williams (ranked No. 6 in the state).

As a junior last fall, Denmark was credited with 665 yards and 7 touchdowns on 35 catches in 6 games by MaxPreps. He averaged 19 yards a reception.

Franklin is putting together another impressive class in 2024. The group, which now stands at 18 known commitments, ranks top-10 nationally. You can see Denmark’s highlight tape below, via Hudl:
