It’s been a few weeks of transfer madness now. The carousel of players coming and going has certainly included some Big Ten programs with players arriving and departing from the league’s 14 programs.
The latest player to join that topsy-turvy transfer world is Arnold Ebiketie. The former Temple Owl is on his way to Happy Valley. He announced his decision to head to the Big Ten and join Penn State on Thursday.

Ebikete, a defensive end, comes out of Silver Spring, Maryland. He was second-team All-AAC in 2020. He led Temple in tackles for loss with 8.5. He also recorded a team-best four sacks along with three fumbles in 2020.
This addition is a big one and necessary one given what the Nittany Lions’ defensive line. Jayson Oweh, Shane Simmons and Shaka Toney all are leaving James Franklin’s program to enter the 2021 NFL Draft. Just one player — Adisa Isaac — from Penn State’s defensive line two-deep is set to return next season.
Ebikete is the fourth player to join a Nittany Lion team that got off to a historically bad start and never quite recovered. Other new arrivals via transfer in Happy Valley include former Baylor running back John Lovett, South Carolina cornerback John Dixon and Duke defensive tackle Derrick Tangelo.
