Penn State is pushing for another top-10 recruiting class under head coach James Franklin. Friday night, the program picked up another 4-star piece to the puzzle.

The player is Josiah Brown, a 4-star athlete out of Holy Trinity Diocesan in Hicksville, New York. He committed to the Nittany Lions from a final group that included Georgia and Rutgers.

Brown is listed at 6 feet and 170 pounds and has made plays on both sides of the ball as a wide receiver and defensive back in high school. His primary recruiter was Marques Hagans, likely indicating he will suit up as a WR for the Nittany Lions.

According to the 247 Sports Composite, Brown is a 4-star prospect, the top player out of New York and the No. 20 ATH in the country for the 2024 recruiting class. He’s the 11th recruit rated at 4-stars to commit to Penn State in the cycle with the Nittany Lions currently holding the 7th overall recruiting class per the 247 Sports Team Composite.
