Penn State announces return of Blue-White Game

The annual Blue-White Game was temporarily paused due to the pandemic but it’s slated to return next year, according to The Scranton Times-Tribune.

No. 7 Penn State is coming off a 23-20 loss at No. 2 Iowa. The Nittany Lions are on a bye this week and will look to get back in the winning column when they host Illinois in Week 8.

Penn State leads the all-time series 20-5, with three consecutive victories vs. Illinois. Penn State has a 5-1 record and is fourth place in the B1G East. Illinois is currently 2-5 and fifth place in the B1G West.

The stingy Penn State defense hasn’t allowed more than 23 points in any game this season. Penn State safety Jaquan Brisker has gone 713 coverage snaps in a row without giving up a touchdown.

ESPN’s College Football Twitter account recently ran a poll which concluded that Penn State resides in the best college town in the nation.
