Penn State baseball has snapped its Big Ten Tournament losing streak at 4 games. The No. 6 seed Nittany Lions defeated No. 3 seed Iowa 5-2 to pick up their first conference tournament victory since 2008.

PSU broke the scoring ice in the top of the 3rd inning. Anthony Steele singled to plate Jay Harry and Matt Wood, giving Penn State a 2-0 lead.

The next time Wood crossed the plate was on a 3-run home run he crushed to right field, making it 5-1 in the top of the 6th inning.

On the mound, Penn State’s Tyler Shingledecker and Travis Luensmann combined for 15 strikeouts.

Penn State will face the winner of the Purdue-Rutgers game on Friday.
