Penn State DB announces plan to transfer from program

A Penn State defensive back is planning to leave the program and will look to finish his college career elsewhere.
On Monday, DJ Brown announced via Twitter that he plans to transfer out of Penn State and pursue other opportunities upon his graduation. As a graduate transfer, Brown would be immediately eligible to participate at his next destination.
“I am truly thankful for being able to attend Penn State these past three years,” Brown wrote. “The fan base and the memories have been incredible. But upon graduation this summer, I plan to transfer and pursue another opportunity elsewhere.”

Brown did not play in his first two seasons in Happy Valley (2017-18) and finally saw the field this past season. He appeared in seven games for the Nittany Lions, making five tackles and forcing a fumble.
Brown would have two years of eligibility left at the college level.
Penn State finished the 2019 season with an 11-2 record. Brown is now the fifth player to enter the transfer portal since the conclusion of the season.
