An experienced Penn State defensive end has entered his name in the NCAA transfer portal.

Tuesday, Cole Cubelic of SEC Network reported that Daniel Joseph has entered his name in the transfer database. This allows the rising redshirt senior to explore opportunities elsewhere and could still return to Penn State, if that’s in his best interest.

Joseph has played in 32 career games as a Nittany Lion, according to his statistics page on GoPSUSports.com. Penn State finished the year 11-2, with a Cotton Bowl win over Memphis to close the season.

During his four years in State College, Joseph has collected 29 total tackles, including 5.5 stops for loss. He has five sacks, forced and recovered one fumble and broke up one pass. This season, he tallied seven tackles and 1.5 sacks.

Joseph utilized his first year at Penn State in 2016 as a redshirt season. He will have one year of eligibility remaining.
