Penn State made a huge addition to its 2025 recruiting class on Sunday afternoon.

The Nittany Lions earned a commitment from 4-star wide receiver Koby Howard. A Florida native, Howard chose Penn State over several elite programs including Florida State, Miami and Ole Miss.

Here’s video of Howard’s commitment announcement:

Howard is a huge pickup for Penn State in this coming class. He’s the No. 361 overall player and the No. 56 wide receiver in the country for the class of 2025, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 51 player from the state of Florida.

Howard attends Chaminade-Madonna Prep in Hollywood, Fla. He’s listed at 5-foot-11, 185 pounds.

Florida has become crucial recruiting territory in recent years. The Nittany Lions already have 4 commits from the 2025 class who hail from the Sunshine State. This would be Penn State’s fourth consecutive high school recruiting class with multiple signees from the state of Florida.

Penn State is off to a strong start overall in the class of 2025. Its class of 23 prospects ranks No. 16 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

Here are some highlights from Howard’s high school career:
