Penn State delivered a thrilling victory over USC in Week 7, rattling off a game-tying drive in regulation before a walk-off win in overtime. Most fans will remember the ending of that game, but one Nittany Lion fan will especially remember what went down before the game.

Fans in attendance at the Coliseum were greeted by one interesting sight when USC came running out of the tunnel. That would be a Penn State fan and his wife, decked out in Penn State gear, running out of the tunnel with the Trojans.

Darian Somers shared a clip of the video to X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday while explaining USC has a system where fans can pay for the experience to run out of the tunnel with the team. Here’s the tunnel run out:

Audrey Snyder, a Penn State writer with The Athletic, managed to track down the fan identified as Jordan Tuesday evening. According to Snyder, Jordan paid $1,800 for himself and his wife to experience the runout.

Jordan said they looked for any sort of fine print on USC’s website but did not find any, and no one belonging to USC tried to stop them from taking part in their Nittany Lion gear. He also said the thought was not spending money to help Lincoln Riley, it was about a lifetime experience for himself and his wife.

Jordan admitted some of the Trojans appeared confused by the sight. While Jordan and his wife, Claire, enjoyed the experience, USC has already taken some precautionary steps to limit things in the future.

According to USC’s website, future participants must be in USC apparel to partake in the endeavor.
