Penn State is adding a junior college forward to its roster.
Jevonnie Scott, a 6-foot-7 forward currently at South Plains College in Texas, committed to Penn State on Thursday. He made the announcement with a post on Instagram.
“These past two years was crazy, a lot of ups and downs and even had to fight through adversity. Being in juco helped me grew as an individual and mature as a person, I’m thankful for god, my teammates, family/friends, coaches, and everyone else that helped me on this difficult path,” Scott said. “And with that being said I’m 1000% committed to Penn State University.”
Scott was previously committed to Texas A&M but re-opened his recruitment following some changes to the staff. Now, he’ll look to finish his career with the Nittany Lions.
Last season, Scott averaged 8.1 points and 4.1 rebounds per game while playing 29 minutes per contest. He will have three years of eligibility remaining at Penn State.
