One of the best running back prospects in the country for 2022 recently narrowed down his list with Penn State still in the running.
The player is George Pettaway, a 4-star running back out of Suffolk, Virginia. Pettaway released a video with his top four schools on Sunday. That is a group that contains the Nittany Lions, along with Florida, Oregon, and North Carolina.

Listed at 5-foot-11 and 190 lbs., the industry-generated composite rankings list Pettaway as a 4-star prospect and the No. 100 overall player nationally for 2022. He is also the 7th RB nationally and 4th player out of Virginia for the cycle.
Ja’Juan Seider has made a habit of reeling in big-time running backs for the Nittany Lions, and it is possible Pettaway becomes the latest. As things currently stand, Penn State holds a commitment from 4-star RB Nicholas Singleton in the class of 2022. Singleton is the 71st player overall and 5th RB nationally for the cycle. It will be interesting to see if Singleton’s commitment plays a role in Pettaway’s final decision.
