Penn State is working on the recruiting trail coming out of Week 11, and the program landed a key piece for the 2025 recruiting class Tuesday evening.

The player is Bekkem Kritza, a 3-star recruit and quarterback out of Fairview High School in Boulder, Colorado. Kritza had Colorado, Maimi, Texas A&M and Washington in his final group but ultimately went with James Franklin’s Nittany Lions.

“The honesty and professionalism they showed,” Kritza said per Hayes Fawcett with On3 Sports. “They recruited me as hard as they can, texting me every day just checking in on me on the field and off the field. That was the biggest thing that set them apart was how much the staff from coach Franklin all the way down.”

Kritz is listed at 6-foot-5 and 182 pounds and is rated as a 3-star prospect. Per the 247 Sports Composite, Kritza is the top player out of Colorado and the No. 30 QB in the country for the class of 2025.

Kritza gives Penn State a 6th player committed in a hot start for the 2025 recruiting class. In the very early portion of that recruiting cycle, the Nittany Lions hold the No. 7 recruiting class in the country with 4-star LB DJ McClary headlining the group.
