The Polynesian Football Hall of Fame gave a shoutout to Penn State senior linebacker Koa Farmer on Twitter for his outstanding performance in the team’s 27-26 loss to Ohio State on Saturday night.

Farmer has been contributing to the Penn State defense since his freshman year in 2015. In four years, the 6-foot-1, 236-pound California native has collected 85 tackles (11 for loss), four sacks and a forced fumble in 35 appearances.

The Polynesian College Football Player Of The Year Award is presented annually to the most outstanding Polynesian college football player that epitomizes great ability and integrity. This season’s watch list is composed of 51 players — including Farmer — from 34 different FBS schools.
