After 3 seasons at Penn State, a Nittany Lion offensive lineman is looking to play his final season of college football elsewhere.

Anthony Whigan announced Monday that he has entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal.

Whigan transferred to Penn State ahead of the 2019 season after 2 years at Lackawanna Community College. He used his redshirt in 2019 and was considered a redshirt senior for the 2021 season. Due to the unique circumstances of the 2020 football season, the NCAA did not count it against players’ eligibility. Whigan will have 1 more season of college football.

Whigan has already been removed from Penn State’s online roster, a strong indication he plans to follow through with transferring elsewhere.
