Whigan transferred to Penn State ahead of the 2019 season after 2 years at Lackawanna Community College. He used his redshirt in 2019 and was considered a redshirt senior for the 2021 season. Due to the unique circumstances of the 2020 football season, the NCAA did not count it against players’ eligibility. Whigan will have 1 more season of college football.
Whigan has already been removed from Penn State’s online roster, a strong indication he plans to follow through with transferring elsewhere.
