There’s some attrition along Penn State’s offensive line.

Rivals.com is reporting that veteran offensive lineman Desmond Holmes has entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal. He appeared in 32 games during his time in State College.

In 2019, Holmes played in all 13 games for the Nittany Lions. This year, he’s participated in 10 of Penn State’s 12 contests. The team finished with a 7-5 record and is headed to the Outback Bowl to play Arkansas.

Holmes was a member of Penn State’s 2017 recruiting class. Out of high school, he was ranked as the No. 82 offensive tackle of the cycle and was a Top 15 prospect out of the state of Pennsylvania.

As a graduate transfer, Holmes will be immediately eligible at his next destination. He will have 1 year of eligibility to utilize.
