Penn State opens as big favorite vs. Indiana

Penn State has opened as a sizeable favorite for its B1G home opener against Indiana on Saturday.

SportsLine.com has the Nittany Lions tabbed as a 17.5-point favorite in the weekend bout against the Hoosiers. Penn State is coming off a thrilling 21-19 win over Iowa at Kinnick Stadium. Indiana knocked off Georgia Southern 52-17 in non-conference action.

The Nittany Lions have been overpowering on both sides of the football early this year, ranking third in the B1G in scoring (40.5 ppg) and second in points allowed (8.3 ppg). Indiana is riding a two-game winning streak after beating Virginia and Georgia Southern.

Penn State enters Saturday’s game 4-0 with a 1-0 mark in B1G play. The Hoosiers lost their conference opener to Ohio State in Week 1 and head to Happy Valley with a  2-1 record.
