Penn State is out of the B1G race and the College Football Playoff picture, but could still reach the 10-win mark and earn a high bowl bid for the postseason. Beating Rutgers, Nebraska and Maryland in the final three weeks would be essential.
Though Rutgers enters the week at just 4-5, the Scarlet Knights are winners in three of their last four outings, knocking off Illinois, Purdue and Maryland. The only loss was to Michigan.
Last year, Penn State defeated Rutgers 39-0.
Saturday’s game is scheduled to kickoff at noon ET and will air on Big Ten Network.
