On Saturday, back-up Penn State quarterback Tommy Stevens had a historic performance.

In the Nittany Lions’ 66-3 win over the Maryland Terrapins, Stevens only completed three passes. However, he was phenomenal on the ground as Stevens ran for 113 yards and three touchdowns. That means, Stevens became just the second quarterback in Penn State history with 100+ rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns in the same game. He joined Eugene “Shorty” Miller: 250 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns in a 1913 game against Carnegie Tech

That’s impressive for a back-up quarterback.
