B1G or SEC? Perhaps that becomes an even bigger argument following Saturday’s showdown on The Plains of Auburn.
Penn State is set to take on Auburn in the rematch of Week 3 from a season ago. The No. 22 Nittany Lions are looking to get back on track following a lackluster 7-6. As for the Tigers, they’re trying to see if 2nd-year coach Bryan Harsin is the right name to lead the program following this season.
Last season, Auburn fans packed part of Beaver Stadium for the annual “White Out” game in Happy Valley. This year, the Nittany Lions fan base has traveled well down to SEC Country, ready to make sure that the hot streak of 2022 continues away from State College.
Twitter can only do so much to paint a broad picture, but here’s a handful of tweets talking about the Penn State takeover near Toomer’s Corner.

They weren’t lying. The amount of Penn State fans in Auburn, Alabama right now is outrageous— TND (@TNDTweets) September 16, 2022
Last season, the Tigers went down to the wire with Penn State, nearly sending the game into overtime. On fourth down at Penn State’s 2-yard line, then-Auburn QB Bo Nix tried to find wide receiver Kobe Hudson, but the ball would be knocked away for the turnover on downs. The Nittany Lions would go on to win 28-20.
Kickoff from Jordan-Hare Stadium Saturday is set for 3:30 p.m. E.T.
