Johnson has missed the first two games of the 2022 season with an undisclosed injury which has stalled a potential breakout year for him. Last season, Johnson caught 10 receptions for 213 yards and a touchdown.
Johnson caught 1 reception for 37 yards in Penn State’s 28-20 win over Auburn at home last season. He caught the first receiving touchdown of his collegiate career the week before the game against Auburn.
Johnson was a 4-star prospect in the 2020 recruiting class as he was the 3rd rated tight end and the top-rated prospect from Ontario, according to 247Sports Composite.
