Penn State vs. Michigan turned into a thriller after the Wolverines dominated the early start of the game.
No. 5 Michigan has found an impressive offensive rhythm against the highly efficient defense of No. 10 Penn State.
Through the first 3 drives of the game for Michigan, the Wolverines scored either a field goal or a touchdown. The Wolverines have been able to account for 211 total yards on 37 plays in the first 3 drives.
The momentum changed when Penn State got on the board with a 1-yard touchdown run from Kaytron Allen to put the Nittany Lions within one possession. That drive was extended thanks to a 62-yard run quarterback by Sean Clifford.
The first two drives for Penn State were 3-and-outs that only accumulated 14 total yards.
Five plays from scrimmage later, Penn State linebacker Curtis Jacobs took an interception from Wolverines quarterback J.J. McCarthy and returned it for a 47-yard touchdown.
That touchdown turned the tide to give Penn State the 14-13 on the road over Michigan.
Michigan was able to take back the lead over Penn State 16-14 with a 23-yard field goal with 2 seconds left in the second quarter.
Michigan slowly and methodically built up a 13-0 lead on 37 offensive plays that went through the first 22 minutes of game time, and Penn State pulled ahead in under 2 minutes.

I’m not saying I caused Penn State to take the lead, but when I turned on the game, it was 13-0 Michigan.
(also, I’m about to turn it off to watch the Phillies pregame)
