Keeping up with 4-star wide receiver Kaden Saunders is going to be incredibly difficult for defensive backs when he arrives at Penn State.

Sunday morning, Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports tweeted out that Saunders had an impressive showing in the 40-yard dash during the Best of the Midwest Combine. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound receiver posted a lightning-quick 4.31 time in the sprint. That should have plenty of folks in Happy Valley smiling.

That kind of speed helped Saunders rake in 19 offers during the recruiting process, and more could still come his way. The 4-star commit gave his verbal pledge to the Nittany Lions in July 2020, but there’s still 10 months until the Early Signing Period.

Per 247Sports, Saunders ranks as the No. 18 wide receiver in the class and is the No. 130 prospect overall for the cycle. His size and speed is similar to former Penn State star KJ Hamler, who had an impressive career in Happy Valley.

Elite speed is a great asset for any player in the B1G. Saunders will certainly be bringing that to Penn State when he arrives as a member of the 2022 class.
