Penn State begins the 2021 season with a road contest at Wisconsin on Sept. 4 (12 p.m. EST/FOX). Safety Jaquan Brisker is expecting a battle vs. the Wisconsin offense.
In a press conference on Sept. 1, Brisker believes Wisconsin is multi-faceted and capable of making plays through the air and on the ground. Brisker was particularly complimentary of Wisconsin quarterback Graham Mertz.

Brisker on the Badgers: “They’re gonna run the ball. … Wisconsin probably hasn’t had a quarterback like this since Russell Wilson. … He can throw it outside, inside. … He’ll be able to run when he wants too.”— Audrey Snyder (@audsnyder4) September 1, 2021
Brisker, a senior, amassed 33 solo tackles and an interception last season. In 2019, Brisker had 31 total tackles and two interceptions.
Penn State is coming off a 4-5 record in the shortened 2020 campaign, which was the first losing season for the program since 2004. Wisconsin posted a 4-3 record last season.
Penn State holds a 10-9 edge in the all-time series and is on a four-game winning streak vs. Wisconsin.
