It’s award season for Jabrill Peppers.

The Michigan do-it-all sophomore is up for a variety of individual awards. That’s what happens when you play 12 different positions in one season.

So fittingly, Peppers took home the award that best highlights his wide-ranging skill set. On Wednesday, Peppers earned the Paul Hornung Award, which is awarded to the most versatile player in college football.

“It means a lot to me to win this award,” Peppers said in a released statement. “You definitely want to do as much as possible, and you want to do it as well as you can. I think there are a lot of guys who could have won this award, so it’s just a tremendous honor to be the winner and to represent the Paul Hornung Award.

I’m just going to keep to trying to get better, keep working on my faults and do whatever I have to do to help my team.”

Last year, it was Christian McCaffrey who took home the award. It’s actually the first time in the award’s seven-year history that it went to a B1G player.

Peppers could be racking up plenty more awards. He’s up for the Bednarik Award for the nation’s top defensive player, as well as the Camp Award for the top player in college football.

Peppers is also Heisman Trophy finalist, which will be announced on Saturday night.
