Peyton Ramsey scores third TD of Citrus Bowl on 30-yard scamper

Peyton Ramsey is having himself a day, the Northwestern quarterback now responsible for a third touchdown, this one on the ground.
Two touchdown passes from Ramsey in the first quarter staked the Wildcats to an early 14-0 lead. But as is the case for Northwestern, they can’t let any game be easy as they allowed Auburn to scratch and claw back into the Citrus Bowl.
With 1:34 left in the third quarter, Ramsey’s 30-yard touchdown run extended Northwestern to a 21-13. The play came on third-and-10, a real gut punch by Ramsey to the SEC program.
With the pocket collapsing, Ramsey rolled out to his left and tucked the ball under his arm, throwing a couple of moves and following some good downfield blockers. He went untouched into the end zone.

The run gives the Big Ten program a bit of breathing room heading into the fourth quarter against a better than advertised Auburn.
At the end of the third quarter, Ramsey was 21-of-32 for 270 yards with two passing touchdowns. He also had 50 rushing yards on 10 carries with the aforementioned touchdown late in the third quarter.
He is responsible for 320 yards of Northwestern’s 350 yards of total offense with one quarter to play. Not too bad.
