PFF grades Northwestern’s Brandon Joseph as the nation’s best strong safety

Brandon Joseph has had quite the week, earning All-Big Ten Football Team honors as well being named the conference’s top freshmen. And now, math and science are weighing in with their own thoughts on the Northwestern defensive back.
He gets a passing grade to say the least.
Pro Football Focus announced Joseph as the top strong safety in college football, the analytics site weighing in amidst the backdrop of the Northwestern star receiving some hefty hardware the past few days.

Joseph played four games last year as a true freshman, qualifying him for a redshirt this season. This year, he has 44 tackles with five interception and a pass defended in seven games.
In high school, Joseph was a three-star recruit and ranked as the No. 83 safety in the nation and the No. 130 player in the state of Texas according to 247Sports
No. 15 Northwestern is 6-1 and will play No. 3 Ohio State this Saturday in the Big Ten Championship Game.
