Every year there is a guy the nation sleeps on ahead of the new season.

PFF named 8 receivers they believe could be dark horse candidates for the 2022 season at wideout and 4 B1G receivers made the list.

The 4 are listed below:

  • Parker Washington, Penn State
  • Ronnie Bell, Michigan
  • Marvin Harrison, Ohio State
  • Jayden Reed, Michigan State

Cedric Tillman of Tennessee, Georgia’s Ad Mitchell, BYU’s Puka Nacau and Houston’s Tank Dell also made the list.

It seems hard to label Reed and Washington as dark horse candidates. Reed caught 59 balls last season for a grand total of 10 touchdowns and 1,026 yards, leading the Spartans by a wide margin. Washington totaled 64 catches for over 800 yards receiving and 4 touchdowns.

Other dark horse candidates could include Ohio State’s Emeka Egbuka, Illinois’ Isaiah Williams and Florida transfer Jacob Copeland at Maryland.
