C.J. Stroud has posted some impressive numbers during his first two games as Ohio State’s starting quarterback this season.
After struggling in the first half, the new Ohio State quarterback racked up an eye-popping five completions for 236 yards and 4 touchdowns in the second half of the season-opening victory at Minnesota.
In the 35-28 defeat in Week 2 vs. visiting Oregon, Stroud passed for 484 yards, 3 touchdowns, and an interception.
PFF College revealed how Stroud compared to previous Ohio State quarterbacks Justin Fields and Dwayne Haskins in the first two starts of their careers:

2. CJ Stroud – 81.4

Despite his potential, Ohio State coach Ryan Day says the Buckeyes have put “too much” on the redshirt freshman quarterback. We will have to see what that means for the playcalling moving forward.
Ohio State will try to get back in the win column when the Buckeyes host Tulsa in Week 3. Ohio State won the only previous meeting in the matchup in 2016. Ohio State-Tulsa is slated for Sept. 18 (3:30 p.m. EST) and will be televised on FS1.
