Pitt coach Pat Narduzzi says he’ll probably be in a coffin or retired next time Pitt-Penn State renew rivalry

Penn State and Pitt renewed their rivalry with a four-year series starting in 2016. That agreement will come to an end Saturday when the Nittany Lions host the Panthers at Beaver Stadium at 12 p.m. ET.
Pitt coach Patt Narduzzi doesn’t sound optimistic that the Panthers and Nittany Lions will square off again very soon.

Pitt won the first matchup of the four-game series in 2016 when these two rivals met for the first time since 2000, but Penn State has exacted revenge from that loss with two straight lopsided victories.
It’s too bad these two rivals won’t continue playing each other, but Penn State coach James Franklin has usually taken the public position that it’s to the Nittany Lions’ advantage not to play Pitt every year for recruiting reasons.
These old Big East rivals faced each other every year from 1935 to 1992. Penn State holds a 52-43-4 edge in the all-time series.
