The nation’s top receiver from the 2021 season has entered the NCAA transfer portal.

Multiple outlets are reporting that Pitt receiver and the winner of the 2021 Biletnikoff Award, Jordan Addison, is exploring his options. It had been speculated over the weekend that he’d enter his name into the database and it became official on Tuesday.

Addison could still return to Pitt, if it’s in his best option. Because of the new world of NIL and the immediate eligibility rule, there will be plenty of suitors for such a skilled player.

Addison closed the 2021 campaign with 100 catches for 1,593 yards and 17 touchdowns, helping lead Pitt to an ACC championship and a Peach Bowl berth. He also had 156 yards on 12 punt returns and had a rushing touchdown.

Addison’s top performance last season came in a 48-38 victory over Virginia. He totaled a career-best 202 yards and 4 touchdowns on 14 catches. All those totals were career bests for the skilled wideout.

Over his two seasons at Pitt, Addison has hauled in 160 passes for 2,259 yards and 21 touchdowns. He’s hit the 100-yard threshold 10 times in his career, including 8 in 2021.

He will have three years of eligibility to use at his next destination, though he’d likely declare for the 2023 NFL Draft.

Addison will be the biggest name in the transfer portal and will be able to make an immediate impact for any team he joins. It’ll be interesting to see how quickly he makes a decision.
