The Clemson Tigers sent a message to the country today with this statement win over Notre Dame in the ACC Championship game.

They ended up blowing them out 34-10 which will send them into the College Football Playoff (likely at No. 2 assuming that Alabama beats Florida tonight).

Quarterback Trevor Lawrence was sensational as he threw for 322 yards with two touchdown passes, plus added a rushing touchdown with 90 yards on the ground.

Running back Travis Etienne also was outstanding for the Tigers as he had 10 carries for 124 yards with a touchdown.

This win for the Tigers could have some interesting scenarios for the College Football Playoff.

Three of the four teams that will surely get in are Alabama, Clemson, and Ohio State but will the committee put in Notre Dame after this performance? They only have one loss, but so does Texas A&M (against Alabama) so the committee will have a big decision to make between these schools.

We’ll just have to see what the final rankings look like when they come out on Sunday.
