Indiana’s secondary is going to be anchored by one of the best cornerbacks in all of college football during the 2021 season. And if you ask Pro Football Focus (PFF), he’s the top player at the position in the B1G.

Recently, PFF’s Anthony Treash said Mullen is the “best returning CB in the B1G” for the 2021 season. His evaluation comes after Indiana finished the 2020 season with a 6-2 record, with the only regular season loss coming against Ohio State.

Mullen was a first-team All-American by some national outlets after the 2020 season and was also a first-team All-B1G selection by the media. He’ll be entering his third season with the Hoosiers in 2021.

Last season, Mullen played in all 8 games and was credited with 38 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 7 pass break-ups and 3 interceptions. As a freshman in 2019, Mullen totaled 29 tackles with 13 pass break-ups, 2 forced fumbles and 2 fumble recoveries.

In 2019 and 2020, Indiana appeared in back-to-back bowl games for the first time since the 2015 and 2016 seasons.

Entering the 2021 season, Mullen will be a strong candidate to be a second-time first-team All-B1G selection, as well as the B1G Defensive Back of the Year.
