Purdue 7-foot-3 center Matt Haarms suffers apparent hip injury against Michigan

Purdue has caught people’s attention this season after making the Elite Eight and nearly downing eventual national champion Virginia a season ago.
The Boilermakers certainly have size this season, and that’s apparent whenever anybody sees 7-foot-3 center Matt Haarms. Haarms isn’t just big — he’s got skill, too.
So far this season, the senior is averaging a team-high 11.5 points to go along with 5.8 rebounds per game.

On Thursday night, Purdue was traveling to take on No. 21 Michigan. The Wolverines, at home, were thought to be the favorite. That continued to be the case once Haarms suffered an apparent hip injury in the first half:

Matt Haarms came out of locker room with Purdue after halftime, but he's not shooting around with the team, noticeably limping, and looks like he's got an ice pack on the hip. I'd say doubtful to return, but I am NOT a doctor

Haarms didn’t return the rest of the way, but the Boilermakers forced overtime in Ann Arbor. The game is currently in the extra period on FS1.
