Purdue is in the middle of compiling an impressive 2024 recruiting class under head coach Ryan Walters. The Boilermakers added another piece to that group Saturday morning.

The player is John Randle Jr., a 6-foot-4 and 270-pound interior offensive lineman out of Horn Lake High School in Mississippi. Prior to revealing his commitment, Randle generated offers from Marshall, Memphis, Duke, UNLV, Jackson State and others.

Randle has gone unrated by the composite but 247 Sports rates Randle as a 3-star recruit. He’s also rated the 125th IOL in the country and the 37th player out of Mississippi for the class of 2024.

Randle becomes the 18th commitment for Purdue with the Boilermakers aiming for a top 20 recruiting class. Walters’ 2024 recruiting class currently ranks No. 18 in the country per the 247 Sports Team Composite. That would give Purdue its best recruiting class since finishing 25th nationally in 2019.
