Purdue adds 6th commitment to 2024 recruiting class with WR out of Illinois

Purdue picked up another piece for the 2024 recruiting class, adding a pledge from a 3-star wide receiver Friday evening.
The player is Jesse Watson, a WR out of East St. Louis High School in Illinois. He generated offers from Nebraska, Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa State, Central Michigan and Eastern Michigan among others prior to committing to Ryan Walters’ program.

Watson is listed at 5-foot-10 and 155 pounds and is a 3-star recruit for the 2024 recruiting class. According to the 247 Sports Composite, Watson is the No. 26 player out of Illinois for the cycle.
Watson’s commitment brings the Boilermakers up to 6 commitments for the cycle. That group is currently ranked 26th nationally per the 247 Sports Composite.
