Purdue football added to its Class of 2026 on Tuesday evening with a pledge from 3-star safety Dana Greenhow, who hails from Tyrone, Georgia – just outside of Atlanta.
Greenhow, who stands at 5-11, 170 lbs, picked the Boilermakers over the likes of West Virginia, Vanderbilt, Mizzou and Wake Forest, to name a few. He made his pledge following an official visit to West Lafayette on May 30.
Greenhow is the first defensive back and the 2nd defensive prospect to commit to Purdue in the Class of 2026, joining 3-star LB Brandon Sweeney out of Grand Rapids, Michigan. He ranks No. 6 out of 9 prospects added by Purdue so far this cycle. Purdue’s 2026 class currently ranks No. 44 in the country.
Because he’s slightly undersized for Big Ten play, Greenhow is not a highly rated recruit. He’s considered to be the No. 1052 prospect in the Class of 2026, as well as the No. 87 safety and No. 110 prospect out of the state of Georgia.
Purdue football is trying to build itself back up after putting up the worst record in the conference last season. The Boilermakers won just 1 game – their first game of the season against FCS Indiana State.
