Purdue added a big piece to their rebuild on Sunday. Big, in every meaning of the word.

Former Western Kentucky tackle Tyler Witt is transferring to Purdue as a graduate transfer. He comes with plenty of experience, with 49 starts for the Conference USA program.

The 6-foot-2, 305 lbs. left guard brings instant stability and experience to Purdue offensive line.

In 2017, Witt was named to Conference USA’s All-Freshman Team and last year to PFF College All-C-USA Second Team.

The Boilermakers were a disappointing 2-4 this season, closing out 2020 with a 37-27 home loss to Nebraska.

Purdue’s offense struggled at times this season, placing No. 7 in the Big Ten in total offense. The offensive line also had some inconsistencies, allowing 12 sacks across six games
