Purdue adds elite 4-star prospect to 2023 class

Class of 2023 defensive lineman Kendrick Gilbert is heading to West Lafayette. The Indianapolis native chose the Boilermakers over Kentucky and now represents Purdue’s top prospect in the cycle.
Gilbert has the chance to be an instant impact player for the Boilermakers in the new future.

Gilbert is considered to be the No. 276 player in the nation and the No. 3 prospect from the state of Indiana. He is also considered to be the No. 41 defensive line prospect in the country.
The 6-foot-5 lineman joins a strong group of linemen already committed to Jeff Brohm and company. Purdue’s three highest rated recruits following Gilbert are defensive linemen Micah Carter, Saadiq Clements and Drake Carlson.
