Purdue announces all-black uniform combination for Ohio State game

Purdue will be looking for a season-defining win against the Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday.

The Boilermakers announced on twitter they will face the Buckeyes in all-black jerseys.

Here’s a look:

The last time Purdue hosted Ohio State, they won the game 49-20. They were also wearing the all-black jerseys in that 2018 game.

Purdue enters this game at 2-4, and is 1-2 in the B1G. The Boilermakers are coming a 20-14 loss to Iowa last weekend. Hudson Card threw for 259 yards and 1 touchdown, but also threw 2 interceptions. The defense was pretty solid, holding Iowa to only 291 total yards of offense.

The Buckeyes are coming into this 5-0, and currently No. 3 in the country. In its last game, Ohio State defeated Maryland 37-17. Ohio State was down 10-o to start the game, but scored the final 20 points of the game to get the win. Wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. had 8. catches for 163 yards and a touchdown.

The last time these two teams played was in 2021 in Columbus. Ohio State won that game, 59-31.

Kickoff is scheduled for Saturday at 12 pm ET, and the game will be aired on Peacock.
