With basketball season approaching, Purdue has announced its decision for fan attendance. Due to COVID-19 concerns, fans won’t be allowed inside Mackey Arena for an indefinite amount of time this season.

“This decision is based on the current state of the COVID-19 pandemic in our community and reflects our ongoing commitment to help protect the health and safety of our students, coaches, staff and area residents,” Purdue AD Mike Bobinski said. “We will continue to work with campus, local, and state health officials as the season progresses and will provide updates regarding fan attendance as information becomes available.”

Purdue is coming off a season in which they finished 16-15 overall and 9-11 in conference play.

Purdue tips off this season against Liberty on Nov. 25 from Melbourne, FL in the Space Coast Challenge (5 p.m. CST/CBS Sports Network). Purdue’s home opener is slated for Dec. 1 against Oakland.
