One Purdue defensive lineman didn’t make the trip with the team to San Francisco for the Boilermakers’ Foster Farms Bowl game against Arizona.
During the coaches press conference on Tuesday afternoon, head coach Jeff Brohm said that Eddy Wilson wasn’t able to make the trip with the rest of the team. There was no specific reason given on Brohm’s behalf. He went on to say that Wilson’s return next season has yet to be determined.

Wilson played in all 12 games for Purdue this season, tallying 27 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and two pass break-ups. This was his third season with the program.
Last year, Wilson had the best season of his career statistically, posting 36 stops and six tackles for loss. In three seasons, he’s racked up 73 tackles for the Boilermakers.
Purdue plays Arizona in the Foster Farms bowl on Wednesday night. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET.
