Harkless is the 7th-ranked 2023 prospect out of Kentucky, according to the 247Sports Composite, and the 80th-ranked DL in the nation.
The lineman has committed to 2 different schools in the past, having been committed to Illinois and Auburn.
Harkless committed to Illinois back in June before decommitting in August. In September, Harkless committed to Auburn before decommitting early in December. Interestingly enough, Purdue’s new head coach is Ryan Walters, who had been the defensive coordinator at Illinois for the previous 2 seasons.
The Boilermakers currently have the 66th-ranked 2023 recruiting class.
