Students at Purdue will have the opportunity to see the Boilermakers up close and personal later this week.
On Wednesday morning, Purdue announced that the football team will host a Student Appreciation Day on Saturday, allowing students to take in the end of a spring practice and enjoy free food. A live DJ, Nike giveaways and other contests will also be part of the event.

Purdue is coming off a 6-7 campaign last season and a second-straight bowl appearance. The Boilers also pulled off home upsets over ranked opponents Boston College, Ohio State and Iowa last fall.
With one of the best recruiting classes in program history coming to West Lafayette, Purdue is expected to be a contender in the B1G West. And students will have an opportunity to get the first glimpse of the 2019 squad.
Purdue’s spring game is scheduled for Saturday, April 6. That game is open to the public.
