Two B1G basketball legends are officially headed to the Hall of Fame.

On Tuesday, former Purdue’s Terry Dischinger and Indiana’s Calbert Cheaney have been selected to the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2019. They will be enshrined on Nov. 24 in Kansas City at the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame Induction Celebration.

Dischinger and Cheaney are two of six former players to be inducted, along with Shane Battier (Duke), Ernie DiGregorio (Providence), Larry Johnson (UNLV) and Todd Lichti (Stanford).

Dischinger played at Purdue from 1959-62 and averaged a double-double for his career with 28.3 points and 13.7 rebounds per game. His point average ranks as the third-highest in program history and his rebound average is a school record. Dischinger also holds the Purdue record for most career free throws, making 713 in his three seasons. He was a three-time All-B1G selection and earned All-American honors in his final two years.

Cheaney was a member of Indiana’s basketball team from 1989-93 and is the program’s and B1G’s all-time leading scorer, totaling 2,613 career points. He was a three-time All-American and averaged 22.4 points and 6.2 rebounds per game as a senior, earning National Player of the Year honors. Cheaney also guided the Hoosiers to two B1G titles and an appearance in the 1992 Final Four.
