Hartwig is a 6-foot-5, 270-pound offensive lineman and is ranked as the No. 3 player from Indiana in the 2020 recruiting class. He’s also listed as the eighth-best center and ranks in the top 500 nationally, according to 247Sports.
In addition to Purdue, Hartwig had several other offers, including Indiana, Cincinnati, Kansas, Vanderbilt and Virginia.
Hartwig becomes the second player to commit to Purdue’s 2020 recruiting class. He joins linebacker Ben Kreul, a three-star prospect out of Wisconsin.
