It looks like Derrick Barnes has wrapped up his career at Purdue.
Barnes was finishing his senior season in 2020 but his future was previously a bit unclear. Due to the NCAA giving an extra year of eligibility for 2020, Barnes had the option to return for another season in 2021.
That is no longer an option with Steve Caric of Caric Sports Management announcing Barnes has signed on as a client as of Wednesday:

That means Barnes will be looking ahead to the NFL and prepping for the 2021 NFL Draft.
Barnes was an extremely productive defender and a rock in the middle for the Boilermakers this season. He put up 54 tackles and an interception to go with 5.5 TFL in six games this season.
Barnes began his career at Purdue as a linebacker but he shifted to defensive end in 2019, putting up 11 TFL and 7.5 sacks in 12 games as a defensive lineman. Based on his work on the line and his experience as a backer, Barnes has a unique skillset that NFL teams will likely look for in a defender. Hopefully he is able to find a suitor in the draft.
Barnes finishes his Boilermakers career with 226 total tackles, 25 TFL, and 10.5 sacks.
