Add Purdue linebacker Ja’Whaun Bentley to the never-ending list of people that Iowa’s new tradition.
On Saturday, the Boilermakers had the opportunity to participate in Iowa’s new tradition, waving to patients in the children’s hospital that overlooks Kinnick Stadium at the end of the first quarter. Everyone in the B1G has commended this incredible new tradition, and Bentley had nothing but positive words.
“Iowa has the best tradition in my opinion,” Bentley said in a tweet on Saturday night. “Waving to the kids at the hospital is unmatched. Truly a blessing.”

Purdue will be the last opponent to wave to the children this season, as the Hawkeyes closed out the 2017 campaign last weekend. The Boilermakers posted a 24-15 victory.
Iowa’s new tradition started just this season and was the talk of the college football season. It will forever be on of the best traditions in the sport.
