David Jenkins Jr. announced that he will be transferring to Purdue on Wednesday. He is a PG from Utah.

Jenkins broke the news from his Twitter account. He hit the transfer portal in March. Jenkins had the 4th-most points for the Utes this past season. He has also had stops at UNLV and South Dakota State. He averaged 8.5 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 0.7 assists for Utah in 2021, and made 81% of his free throw attempts.

Jenkins should be a welcome addition to Purdue’s team after the Boilermakers recently lost guards Eric Hunter and Isaiah Thompson to the transfer portal in the spring.

Jenkins will be going from Salt Lake City to West Lafayette. The 2022 season will be his 5th year of playing college basketball.
