Taking in a Purdue football game at Ross-Ade Stadium is always a special experience. And while the action on the field has been productive under Jeff Brohm, the Purdue marching band is always a top attraction.

One of the key pieces of the Boilermaker band is Purdue’s Big Bass Drum. Affectionately titled the World’s Largest Drum, no game at Ross-Ade is complete without.

Over the weekend, Purdue revealed that the drum would now be displayed at home inside brand new Hagle Hall. Construction on Hagle Hall began in the fall of 2020 and will house Purdue’s bands and orchestras beginning this academic year.

“A Home for Our Heartbeat💛,” Purdue Bands & Orchestras wrote via a post on Facebook. “Purdue’s World’s Largest Drum is now at home in Hagle Hall!”

Purdue fans will not have to wait long to see the Big Bass Drum in action during this season. The Boilermakers open the 2022 season at home on Sept. 1 vs. Penn State.
